SweaterBear Knights is a yearly subscription, so you will be charged $1 now, then $1 each year after in order to maintain your benefits such as 15% off all website and Kickstarter orders, priority shipping, etc. Your yearly price will never increase from the price you paid to sign up (right now is $1).
Once you sign up as a Knight, your benefits kick in right away—but they won’t apply to any orders placed before your membership began. For the discount, just log into your account on our website, and the savings will apply automatically at checkout (or credited in the PM of crowdfunding projects).
It helps us create better advertising targeting while simultaneously rewarding the community that supports us. Sometimes advertising can be seen as a boogeyman, but when done well (at least as we see it) it's a way of introducing people to things that will bring some kind of positive value to their life. And the more data we're able to collect on what type of person will really enjoy our games, the more likely it is that our ads will reach more people who feel the same.
